Getting to and from the airport

By train

There are trains running from the centre of Amsterdam straight to Schiphol Airport. Remember to book wheelchair assistance via the Dutch National Railway in advance if needed.


By bus

Most buses to- and from Schiphol Airport are accessible, with a ramp and designated wheelchair space. Wheelchairs are permitted, but must abide by regulations. According to the Connexxion website, a wheelchair and wheelchair user combined cannot weigh more than 250 kg. In addition, wheelchairs cannot be more than 120 cm long, 70 cm wide and 109 cm high. Rollators are permitted, but mobility scooters are not. Service dogs are permitted at no extra cost.


By taxi

Taxis can be hailed at Schiphol Airport outside the terminal. However, standard taxis cannot accommodate a wheelchair. Click here for a list of taxi companies with accessible minivans.
