Hotel Jakarta

Hotel Jakarta is a beautiful modern hotel in Amsterdam with lush indoor subtropical gardens. It has a strong focus on sustainability and has made considerable efforts to be wheelchair-friendly. General

• The main hotel entrance is threshold-free. It has a revolving door that can be slowed down or de-activated for easier entry with mobility aids.

• Lifts to every floor

• Two wheelchair-friendly toilets are located in public areas of the hotel (one down at the parking garage and another near the swimming pool)

• This hotel has 2 wheelchair-friendly hotel rooms

• When booking the wheelchair-friendly hotel room online, indicate if you need to reserve the wheelchair-friendly parking space in the hotel parking garage (this is free of charge, whereas other parking spaces will cost a fee).

• The lounge, bar, and bakery are wheelchair accessible

• The main restaurant ‘Pit’ has several steps down. This can be accessed via a ramp by going behind the main kitchen area. Alternatively, there is an upper part of the restaurant that has a range of tables that is very easily accessed by wheelchair.

• Breakfast is served buffet-style, with part of the buffet in the ‘Pit’ area. Please ask a member of staff for help if you need assistance with the buffet.

• All wellness facilities are step-free — the swimming pool, the sauna, and the changing rooms. Please note however that some of these facilities will not have e.g. wheelchair-friendly showers or changing rooms.

• All three conference rooms (which can be combined to become one large conference room) are wheelchair accessible

Parking & Public Transportation

• The hotel has an underground parking garage with one large wheelchair-friendly parking space. It can fit one large van, or two cars.

• Public transportation is nearby (70 metres from the nearest bus stop).

• This wheelchair-friendly hotel room has two bathrooms. One is adapted for wheelchair users, the other has a standard walk-in shower and separate bathtub.
